Meet Lindsey

Welcome and hello!

I'm so happy you have taken time out of your day to share in my journey. I will be writing about my day to day life of raising boys and what God's teaching me through it. I feel like God has called me to be open and vulnerable about motherhood - the good times and the hard times - so you will know you're not alone.

So come on in, grab a cup of coffee, & pull up a seat at the farmhouse table off of my kitchen. This is a special place in my home. I love gathering around this table with family and friends - enjoying sweet fellowship and delicious food. More so, I love the mornings where I sit at this table in the peace and quiet, as the sun is making it's way up, and enjoy time with God.

 A few things about myself...

My name is Lindsey and I was born and raised in the South. I met the love of my life at Clemson University and we are Tiger fans through and through! I now live in the North- outside of DC. I'm just happy some places still serve sweet tea.

I love Spring and Summer - let's face it, I am just not a fan of blizzards. Warm weather also means we get to enjoy family beach trips, great cookouts and time on the back deck, reading a good book in the sunshine (when I can), a glass of local wine because we have several great wineries around here, and watching my boys play in the backyard.

I'm a people person and I am so thankful for the community God's given me. My friends and family hold a dear place in my heart. They hold me up when I feel like I've hit the bottom or when I feel alone. They also bring my heart so much happiness; especially my husband and sons.

My heart's desire for you, as you read my blog, is that you know just how much you are loved by God. You are not alone in this journey of motherhood. Whether you are dealing with a sick child, having a tough day with the kids, or you just need to hear some encouragement from one mom to another---  I want you to know that God has put you on my heart to tell you a few things. First, that He loves you so much and second, that you aren't alone in this journey.

So come on and join the journey by following my story...
