What is it that you CRAVE this holiday season?

What comes to mind when you think of the word CRAVE? Especially in this holiday season, what is your mind set upon?

For me I crave family and traditions during this season. I love the holiday decor, the lights, the hot cocoa, a warm fire, and a lite Christmas tree.

Yes, all these things are great to crave but what I really want is to have a craving and burning passion for my Savior. Many know him as Jesus. To me He is Father, Savior, Redeemer, Yahweh, the Great Healer, Shepherd, Christ Jesus, the baby boy that came to save his people.

I want to be on fire for Him. To be on my mind when I awake and be on my heart when I lay my head to sleep. I want others to see my desire to know Him more and for His name to ever be on my lips. I want my kids to hear how much I need Him, how I'm so grateful for how He came and saved me from the path of despair that I was walking before Him.

So in this holiday season, amidst all the hustle and bustle of the Christmas holiday, my prayer is that we stop in the midst of trying to keep tradition and pause to remember it is about a little baby that came down to SAVE us all.
