Is this week going to end?

Hello Friends & Family,

This week has been a long week at best. Toby has had an appointment three days this week! Whew, this momma made it through. Toby finished a long week and continues to thrive on and be joyful but this momma is tired! After enduring a long week of tests, check-ups, and two rounds of chemo this week I'm happy to say that I see the light at the end of the tunnel for this week. I know, I know...he is the one who had to endure many obstacles, pricks, sedation, and toxic chemo but keeping up with him and everything else is exhausting. Monday as I posted before was a long day, Tuesday was little man's 6 month check-up that he passed with flying colors (GO TOBY), and today was round 7 of chemo and he received both doses today, meaning this weekend he will be either tired or cranky and tired :) I still love him tons though!

So on the brighter side of things, today we got to sit down and see the x-rays from Toby's imaging on Monday and yes I know the preliminary report said the bones didn't change but God has his way of saying, WAIT A SECOND, maybe you should look over those scans again! Yes, proud to say that the x-rays though not huge changes have changed for the better. To put a quick medical insert in here let me tell you that bone takes a long time to heal, for example, a fracture takes months to heal and we can still see it a year later on x-ray, so we weren't expecting any changes to the bone from imaging just making sure there were no more tumors and let me say with excitement that not only are there currently no new tumors but the ones in the bones you can definitely see changes. Such a praise, God is the ultimate Healer! Toby still has the tumors and he is not in remission from his disease but just seeing changes like that after 6 weeks of chemo is such encouraging news and amazing that his bones have started to calcify back! So to those praying, thank you for getting down on your knees and praying for my little boy, God is at work lets show everyone who truly deserves the GLORY!

So from this tired momma to all those out there praying I just want to say thank you!

  1. What great news! I can only imagine how exhausted all of you are. Before I read your blog I came across this appropriate it seems to be right now.

I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath! How kind the Lord is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours! Let my soul be at rest again, for the Lord has been good to me. Psalms 116:1, 2, 5, 7

Although, you continue to travel down this difficult journey I only hope that you, Jason, and Toby experience moments of peace and rest as you grasp onto the "little things" that truly are wonderful blessings!
