It's Time to Rise Up and Fight

This summer has been a difficult one, to say the least. I have been pretty silent in my writing and my social media lately. Yet, even in the midst of darkness, the Lord found me and met me where I was. At my lowliest of times, where the enemy just wanted to destroy me, steal my joy, and to silence my voice, the Father had other plans for this daughter.

He has been teaching me so much that I can't share it all in one post, but for today, I want to share how we are called to rise up and fight as daughters of the King. So that is where my story and testimony will start.

The Father has been teaching me, pruning off branches, lies, and strongholds that have held me captive for as long as I can remember. You see the enemy thought that he was gonna take this daughter down, but instead, he has made me so angry of all that he has stolen over the last months, that I want others to be able to stand and fight and not be afraid. He used a medical thing this summer, to bombard me with fear, anxiety, and doubt of who I was. He had me so low, that even my family noticed my change in attitude, I felt like I was wondering around in the dark, hearing lie after lie constantly. I knew God was with me, but as the lies became louder and my eyes turned to the enemy, the light seemed to grow smaller and smaller and the darkness seemed to grow and grow. It was terrifying. I can't explain into words the things I saw in the spiritual realm. I can tell you this - demons are real. They are not pretend and I have encountered them first hand. So if you feel like you are going crazy with all the loudness, I promise you-you are not crazy. The enemy uses that as a tactic to distract you from speaking to someone and having them speak truth over you (trust it from someone who thought the same). My breaking point was when the enemy had me convinced that I was a false prophet and doing the exact opposite of what I wanted to do, tell women and mothers the truth about God. I was so convinced of this that I stopped writing, journaling and posting things to encourage others.

Romans 8:26 says "...the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words."  I can testify that this is so true. When we can't pray because it feels so dark, even reading our Bible seems like there is void because we feel so heavy and so downcast,  praise God and His goodness that He sent us a Helper to all who believe to intercede on our behalf.

It is when I started to remember who I was, after seeking counsel from a pastor and friends who could tell something was off, that I stepped out of the fear and started to recall who I was in the Kingdom of God. I can tell you that once you have been opened to this kind of turmoil and eyes opened to what true spiritual warfare looks like you can never unsee it. I'm determined that Satan uses fear, doubt, and anxiety to plague the Daughters of the King, but today I am gonna teach you who you are and how to fight. Once you can stand firm in who you are, you will no longer fear the darkness - trust me! The light breaks in and shines so brightly that there is no room for it.

Who You Are:
Let's see what God's word says about us.

Zephaniah 3:17

The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

 Romans 8:11

If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you

Romans 8:14-17

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!" The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirsheirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him

Ephesians 5:1

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.

Colossians 3:12
Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,

I can keep going with verse after verse but I think you see the point. If I can tell you one thing that you take away today, it would be this. Don't forget your identity, don't forget who you are in Him and because of Him. This is one of the biggest things the enemy tries to attack us with because we don't know how to stand firm in this identity. It is when we claim our identity with boldness, that it makes the enemy shutter because he knows he can't shake us of it. We must be able to know without a doubt who we are, but most importantly who are Father is, what He has given us access to as children of the King, all because of Jesus, and be able to fight and not be shaken by lies of what He is not and what we are not.

So for today, I will leave you with this. Rise up and fight for who you are and who your Father is, He will fight for your behalf but you must know the truth to stand.
