Welcome 2017

As the year 2016 comes to a close this evening, I wanted to wish y'all a Happy 2017!

Looking back on 2016, I have been going through my journals and prayers to help remember the many ways God has blessed us and answered certain prayers this year. If I had to sum it up in one word for 2016, I would tell you that it would be the word "listen".

This last year the Lord has been whispering in my ear things I feel He is calling me to pursue personally and also the ways He loves me. It has been so encouraging reading in my journals to see how the Lord has opened up certain doors for me to follow Him. Specifically, in things that He has placed on my heart. I hope to be able to share more with you later, but for now He is still working on my heart and pointing me towards obeying.

I was sharing with a dear friend lately about things that feel I want to work on in 2017. My dreams and passions that I feel the Lord has placed on my heart to pursue but yet I'm holding back because of fear. She gently encouraged me with this verse. Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Often, I think that we let fear hold us back. As we begin a new year, I hope that if there is one thing that has been on your heart, that you take courage and pursue it! If your not sure that it is the Lord placing it there, I would encourage you to pray over it and cast it over to the Lord. Listen to him. Be open to hear his answer and always remember that fear is not from Him but from the evil one, who usually wants to crush what the Lord is stirring up!

So as this year closes and a New Year begins, my prayer over you is that God shows you His love in a way that you know it is from Him. I pray that He uses his daughters to stand tall and bold this year and to not be fearful of man but to step out in faith. I pray that He uses your gift my dear friend and sister, to make His name known and that He blesses your talents and shows you how He wants you to use them. May 2017 be a year that the Lord uses his children to revive his kingdom!
